About Me
While I have been living a life of quiet desperation always waiting for something to happen to change it. I have learned that I am the only person that can change my life. I have to start living my dream instead of waiting. Life is short and I've been wasting time. I have to live day-to-day and earn my paycheck and just try to get by. But at the same time I have to do new things in order to change that lifestyle. I’m 37 years old, living back in my hometown after a 7-year transplant to the south that just didn’t take. But now I'm happier and I'm the sole support of my family, I have made great strides in my life since my youngest of three boys was born. I was a stay at home mom for seven years and during that time I taught myself to design and construct web pages and I dabbled in computer graphic art. I also wrote many stories and poems. I am currently working on a romance novel trilogy and a few other stories. And now I'm planning on starting my own business. I'm tired of always saying "If only things would get better" and I'm starting to say "I'm making things better". Sometimes when you are living life you lose track of all the things you are actually doing. I'm creative and fun. I love to talk to people and get to know what is going on in their lives but I like to really talk. I want to know people not just know of them. I recently took a look back at my life and basically took stock and realized that I am becoming the person I always wanted to be. I may not be living the dream I had for my life when I was 18 but it's been 20 years and those dreams changed. I haven't lost sight of all of them but some of them were childish and needed to be put to rest. My new plan is to embrace each NEW dream with determination. I will start each day thinking of how to get to my goals and live that life. Because life isn't in the goals it's the journey you take trying to get there. I would like to meet some real people. People that want to talk about what is really going on in their lives. Music
I love music, listening and singing, but the music I prefer is anything before 1995, everything that is except rap and country. I do love to talk about music and hearing new music I'm just not "up" on much new music. I guess I fell into the trap of getting older. But feel free to share your views on music with me I'm always willing to listen to something new.
Movies
Well, I don't get out much to the movies, but I watch alot of DVDs. As for Favorites, JAWS is at the top of the list, The Matrix can't say it's second or anthing but the original was anything but shallow, Galaxy Quest another fav, as well as anything scifi.
TV
The Scifi Channel and USA
The kids monopolize the tv during the day so the disney channel plays nonstop.
CANNOT STAND REALITY TV. TV is an escape for me so reality just doesn't do it for me.
Books
Instead of Books... Authors: Robert Jordan, Nora Roberts, Elizabeth Haydon.
I'll read anything if it can grab me before chapter four.
Likes
I like to be around people. I love learning about my friends and family by talking with them. I suppose I just like communication. So if you like to talk I'm going to like you!
Dislikes
I enjoy a positive outlook on life so my dislikes are few. Our differences make life interesting. But I think negativity is on my list of dislikes. Complaining never helps so whatever it is that is bothering you change it don't complain it to death!
Hobbies
I love my computer. I am also in business for myself selling romance enhancements. I enjoy that as a hobby because I can meet a lot of interesting people who are looking to get more enjoyment out of their lives!
Vices
I think my biggest vice is smoking, then drinking and then overindulgence.
Virtues
???? I'm not going to list my virtues because I cannot see them. My friends can see them for themselves and I would hope that for every friend there is a different one!
Heroes
My parents, they gave me life and taught me what to do with it.
Bill, he showed me that I am worth it.
My children, they teach me something new every day.
Arthur Francis, he taught me that laughter may not be a cure but it can ease the symptoms.
